This section of the website seeks to offer some general information on Development Education across Europe, at both national and European level.

 

 

Though CONCORD DE Forum agreed in 2004 on a common definition, several National Platforms (NPs) are still using  their own definition; these definitions are all quite similar, and mainly differ because of the historical and cultural background of each country.

To learn more on each single country and development education, we have circulated in the last 4 years a questionnaire, which helps understanding the situation of DE in all EU Member States. The questionnaire has been circulated to all NPs in 2003, 2005 and 2007, and will be circulated again in 2009, before the end of DEEEP.

Finally to get a general overview it is also important to know what policies are adopted at local, national and European level, with regards to development education.
